Hey everyone! - Exciting news for Beaufort County! I've just kicked off my latest effort to connect directly to the public and share information straight to you! My latest "REBHOLZ REPORT" has some big updates about our schools. In my first report, I wanted to let you know about the School Resource Officers (SROs) in Beaufort County's schools.
Here's the scoop: The Beaufort County Board of Commissioners, including myself, voted 4-3 to accept the proposal from the Sheriff's Office. This means that starting next school year, our schools will be safer with trained deputies around.
I believe that the Sheriff's Office will effectively manage these SROs in our schools. Plus, there's a plan to hire some officers internally and even offer opportunities to current security staff. The goal is to make sure our kids and teachers are safe and sound.
This is a big step for Beaufort County, and I'm committed to working hard to make our community stronger and safer. Let's keep making Beaufort County a better place for all of us!
